Muhammad Alaraby
Muhammad Alaraby is an award-winning Egyptian researcher and the Head of the Strategic Foresight Program at Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS) in Abu Dhabi, where he also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Itejahat Al-Ahdath “Trending Events” magazine, and “Futures Insights” Series. A prolific scholar in international security and futures studies, he recently co-authored Armed Politics: Lectures on War and Strategic Thought with Professor Sean McFate. Muhammad holds an MA in Global Affairs from the American University in Cairo and is currently completing a second Master’s in Defence Studies at King’s College London. In 2022, he was honored with the Arab Youth Award from ALECSO’s Arab Institute for Research and Studies for his work on Arab futures. A co-founding member of the Arab Futures Society, his current research focuses on technology and strategy, regional security dynamics, the indigenization of foresight in the Arab world, and the intersections of urbicide and military urbanism.
