Mohammed Samhouri is a Palestinian economist and academic, and a former senior economic advisor in the Palestinian Authority. He is a founding and a former board member of the Cairo-based Regional Center for Strategic Studies as well as a former senior research and teaching fellow at Brandeis University’s Crown Center for Middle East Studies in the United States. From February to October 2005, he led a high-level Palestinian technical team in charge of preparing Gaza for the day after disengagement.
