Sami Shaheen is a researcher at the “Pathways Beyond Neoliberalism: Voices from Mena” project. He holds a BA in Political Science, with a double specialization in Political Economy and International Relations, from the American University in Cairo. He also holds an MSc in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow. His research interests lie in 18th- and 19th-century German philosophy—particularly the thoughts of Immanuel Kant and Friedrich Nietzsche—and their relevance to contemporary political and metaethical debates. He is also interested in the intersection between critical phenomenology and neoliberal discourses of innovation.
