Joel Singer is a former legal advisor to the Israeli Foreign Ministry under the Rabin– Peres government and, previously, director of the International Law Department of the Israel Defense Forces. Over the past twenty-five years, Singer was a member of Israeli delegations negotiating peace treaties and other agreements with all of Israel’s Arab neighbors, including Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and the Palestinians.
