Nadine El Sayed is an associate professor of practice at the American University in Cairo. She started her journalism career in 2006 and has since contributed to a range of outlets, including Al-Shorouk newspaper, Open DemocracyNature Middle East, Al-Fanar Media and DW-TV. She held various editorial positions in leading publications, including deputy managing editor of Egypt Today and Business Today magazines and the senior editor running the regional custom media publications at Springer Nature, the biggest scientific publisher in the world. She founded an online magazine for women and was twice nominated for the Anna Lindh Mediterranean Journalism Award.
