Islam Alhalawany is a London-based policy scholar specialising in the political economy of the Middle East and the Asia-MENA corridors. He currently leads QFLA Advisory, a London-based consulting firm that specialises in development finance and industrial strategy. He previously served as assistant professor and assistant dean for international collaborations at O.P. Jindal Global University in India and as a senior analyst at S&P Global in London, with consulting roles in Cairo, Beijing, and Dubai.

A Chevening Scholar, Alhalawany holds Master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Peking University. His work has appeared in the Atlantic Council, The National Interest, the LSE Middle East Centre, and the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington.
